After retirement, Most Worshipful Brother Yuan changed from one type of service to another-international trade. He is now an able and active businessman and is presently serving as President of Krown Asia Industrial Corporation. Through the application of the same devotion to this new career that he has shown in his military and Masonic endeavors he has, in only a few years, led his company to a place of importance in the im-port and export business field.

Most Worshipful Brother Yuan was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in Szechwan Lodge No. 4, F. & A. M., on June 1, 1961, and served as Secretary for more than six years. He was then Master of the Lodge in 1964-1965. He is now an honorary member of Liberty Lodge No.7, F. & A. M., and has also served as Secretary of this Lodge for five years. Through his efforts he developed the outstanding Masonic qualities now shown in these two Lodges and he successfully organized Brothers of many different jurisdictions to work under the banners of these two bodies. Even at the present time Most Worshipful Brother Yuan travels once a month from Taipei to Taichung to attend the meetings of his Mother Lodge.

Grand Master S.S. Yuan was consecrated as a Master of the Royal Secret on September 26, 1964, and has served as Secretary/Recorder/Registrar for six years. He was elected as Venerable Master of Taipei Lodge of Perfection in 1971 and was decorated as KCCH (Knight Commander of the Court of Honor) on October 3,1967. He was then Coroneted as Inspector General, The Last and Highest Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, U.S.A., on November 16,1971.

Most Worshipful Brother Yuan journeyed the hot sands and became a Mystic Shriner of Islam Temple in 1964 and received the decoration of Legion of Honor and then received honorary membership in both Afifi and and Nile Temples.
